fair-isle mittens
(no, really they are a Norwegian pattern), with flip-up front and thumb, in red and white, for myself, that I started and last knitted on about 10 years ago. There really is only about three rows on the thumb left to knit, which makes for about 24 stitches... and not even in colorwork. And then the weaving in the ends. I should really do that, which would also free my 2.5mm DPNs and enable me to knit some self-pattering socks...
