Knitting from stash, found out that drops Safran and ggh elastico have same yardage and knit up to the same gauge, found that my son seems to prefer cotton sweaters... and the plan for a cotton sweater for him was there. That and the fact that I had been wanting to play with Fibonacci stripes (cf.
sweater on Magknits, and
this discussion here), and this is the sequencing I came up with. I will base the sweater loosely on "Breton" by Alice Starmore, but only as far as construction goes (my irregular, colorful stripes have little in common with navy and white marine stripes), because I've been wanting to knit a circular gansey with gussets.
Eigentlich wollte ich ja einen Wollpulli fuer Js Geburtstag stricken, aber das ist unpraktisch, weil er den im Sommer nicht braucht, und weil er Baumwolle im Moment eindeutig viel lieber hat. Und ich hatte noch bunte Drops Safran, das eigentlich fuer die Stickerei auf meinem angefangen Bonita Shirt gedacht war, die ich jetzt aber dohc nicht mache, und ggH elastico von meinem Picovoli, uebrig. Und das langt wahrscheinlich so grade fuer einen Pulli fuer einen Dreijaehrigen. Also probier ich Fibonacci Streifen aus, angeregt von
diesem Magknits Modell, und
diesen Erklaerungen hier. Der Aufbau des Pullis folgt der "gansey" Technik, und ich folge in weiten Zuegen der Anleitung fuer "Breton" von Alice Starmore, auch wenn ich eine andere Maschenprobe habe.
