I really love everything about this: it's my own design, it fits, it's knit from stash, J seems to like it (yeah!), blocking worked its magic and made a beautiful even fabric out of my sometimes not so even knit, and: it's my first for steeks, and they worked wonderfully. yeah all around!
Dieser Pullunder ist wirklich rundum gut, also ich meine, er macht mich gluecklich (manchmal braucht's nciht viel): ich hab ihn selbst "entworfen", aus REstwolle gestrickt, J scheint ihn zu moegen, und das Spannen hat ihn richtig gut aussehen lassen (vorher war's ein bisserl uneben). Und: es war das erste Mal, dass ich mein Gestrick zerschneide mit Steeks (ich hab sie zusammen gehaekelt, nach der Anleitung aus den Latvian Dreams), und es scheint zu funktionieren. Jippieh.
Ce petit pull me rend heureuse (sic!): c'est moi qui l'ai "designe", il est fait a partir de laine que j'avais deja, et puis le blocage a la fin l'a rendu vraiment bien lisse et beau. Knitting fun: this was so motivating, as I wanted to see the finished thing and see whether it fits, that it just flew by.
Techniques learnt: steeking!!!! and the first big project I knit with both hands.

Ich bin schwer beeindruckt. Sieht toll aus, und die Motive sind so ungewoehnlich. Schade, dass es hier in den USA nicht so viele Zeitschriften mit Mustern und Motiven gibt, ich bringe immer einen ganzen Koffer davon zurueck, wenn ich meine Eltern und meine Schwester besuche.
Kamele... einfach toll. Ich muss mal sehen, ob ich das Juli-Special nicht irgendwo ergattern kann. Ich habe ploetzlich alle moeglichen Ideen fuer aegyptisches FI!
oh Batty, vielen Dank fuer diesen netten Kommentar! Aber Achtung: das Heft ist ca 20 Jahre alt, das wirst Du nich tmehr finden, nehm ich an! Und ueberhaupt, ich komm grade von drei Wochen Deutschland wieder: es gibt viiiieeeel weniger STrickhefte als in meiner Jugend. (hoer ich mich an wie eine Oma?)

That is truly a vest to be proud of! It's stunning!! I love that it has animals marching around it, but isn't particularly juvenile; it is just lovely. C'est tres belle!
