Norwegian Mittens, well kinda, following (well more or less) EZ's recipe. Colorwork is from Joyce Williams' Latvian Dreams. first time try for me for this EZ recipe. CO 40
color pattern from Joyce Williams Latvian Dreams. i-cord in green-- because EZ said to go wild with color, and that's what I did (not sure I like it).

Norwegische Handschuhe fuer N, nach EZ's Rezept aus dem Knitters Almanac. Das Farbmuster ist nach Handschuhen aus Joyce Williams' Latvian dreams. Elizabeth sagt, man soll ruhig wilde Farbkombinationen machen, das hab ich auch mit dem gruenen Rand. Ich bin nicht 100%ig ueberzeugt davon.

Des moufles pour N, d'apres les moufles norvegien d'Elizabeth Zimmermann (Knitters Almanac). Et le dessin en couleur est d'apres Latvian Dreams de Joyce Williams. Elizabeth dit d'etre un peu folle pour les combinaisons de couleurs: c'est chose faite avec la bordure en vert, mais je ne suis pas convaincue que j'aime.

Color: green, red, grey
Needle: 4.5 mm DPNs
gauge: 24st/4 inches
Pattern: Norwegian Mittens by Elizabeth Zimmermann from Knitters' Almanac
Cast-on to Finish: 20aug07-23aug07
Modifications: I had not understood (had not read properly) that one was supposed to decrease after the cuff, in order to start the palm with less stitches than the outside... and then, after thumb increases, end up with the same number of stitches on both sides. Ah well, so mine have more on the inside of the hand, trying to block it outta them...
Knitting fun: quick, easy pattern -- I'm sure next time will be even more fun, seen as I now understand the instructions. ;)
