Swatch Hat

Swatch Hat
Originally uploaded by Strickanfall.

A swatch hat, following EZ's recipe for don't-make-a-swatch-make-a-hat. I really like to feel "real" non-superwash wool. And I really like the fair-isle bands. And gauge is dead on. Happy.

I love it! I definitely want to try my first fair isle project before the year is out :-)

Shauna: definitely try fairisle, and a hat is a perfect beginning project!!! It's so much fun to see how colors look together when knitted up, and to see them play off each other.

Thank you for your kind comments on my blog. -- I love knitting the sweater, I am just starting armhole and neckhole steeks right now, so the body should be done soon. Then the sleeves (somehow I consider that less fun, mainly, I guess, because I like fairisle on DPNs less than on a circular).
