I can't believe I finally managed to finish these! I started them sometime in 1995 I think, and then they just sat in my boxes and have moved house with me. They come in really handy today for biking in chilly Paris.
Endlich, endlich fertig. Ich hab sie irgendwann ca 1995 angefangen, und seither waren sie bis auf ein paar Reihen Rippen fast fertig und sind immer brav mit mir umgezogen. Jetzt sind sie jedenfalls sehr praktisch zum Fahrradfahren durch das winterlich kalte Paris.
J'y crois pas moi-meme: ils sont finis! Je les ai commences en 1995 je pense, ils etaient presque termines, manquaient que quelques rangs. En tous les cas, ils sont tres tres utiles pour faire du velo dans Paris maintenant qu'il fait froid.Flip top mittens
Yarn: some German sock yarn (lost the labels)
Needles: 2.55mm DPNs
Pattern: a very old (80s?) Burda pattern that I modified to have the fliptops and flipthumbs
Knitting time: 1995-7nov07
Modifications: added the fliptops and the flipthumbs (actually not sure that the flipthumbs are all that useful)
Knitting fun: I don't remember. It sure felt like a huge accomplishment to actually finish them, finally.
