Double Scoop for the Ice Cream Boy

Thanks all for helping me decide on the colors for this one. It was ready indouble scoop 2 September, for the birthday boy, but I never got around to posting pictures of the FO here.

Double Scoop for N
Yarn: Phildar Quietude, mainly because the colors I wanted were there. I really liked knitting with this yarn, though. Ah, and of course, it needed to be machine washable, too. (50% wool, 50% acrylics)
Color: fall colors (thanks for that suggestion, Julia, you can find my trepidation about color choices here)
Needles: 3.5 and 4.5 mm Turbo Addis
Pattern: Double Scoop from Knitty, size 4 years
CO: 29aug06 BO:17sep06
Modifications: none that I remember (well, despite the obvious: color and yarn choice to make this into a warm winter sweater).
Knitting fun: easy, quick, fun to knit. Very good travel knit.
Techniques learnt: don't remember any. First time I picked up the sleeve stitches at the armholes, not sure this qualifies as a technique. (and I actually prefer seaming them, so now I now that one, too)
