Sock knitting, more and less succesful

Socks for gifts: one for retirement, and against cold feet in the hospital, and one pair each for my parents. First time I tried an argyle sock, and it really didn't work too well, not the fault of the pattern, just my fault for disliking intarsia, and for mixing two very different yarns: cotton, and wool/acrylic. Quite happy with the gentleman's socks from Nancy Bush's Vintage socks. And I looove the Kaffe Fasset yarn, and of course, like 6-ply for men's socks.

I like them all... even the funky argyle socks! It's almost like one of those pictures you have to look at funny until you realize what it is, and then, you go AHA!
They are cool.
